What's Cooking? Super Orange Juice

My household has taken turns in falling ill with different levels of a respiratory virus. My son caught it and passed it to my husband, who then developed a severe case of bronchitis with a coughing syncope. That's when you cough and pass out. From there, I also developed an all too familiar infection, strep throat. Oh man were we all just messed up. While my son and I got over our symptoms relatively quickly, my husband's issue is still lingering. I have shouted out loud many times as if the sickness would comply...
JUST GO AWAY!!! PRETTY PLEASE!!!
Now today, I had taken my daughter to the doctor to tell me something I already know...she too has a respiratory viral infection but with daily fevers. More days out of school for her.
Well, I can't afford to get sick anymore myself so I made this "Super Orange Juice" and served up plenty for the house. It's very tasty and packed with Vitamin C! Vitamin C is supposed to kick a cold's ass so, let's get to kicking it.
There's really no rhyme or reason to my recipe. It's literally me just tossing in all the fruit that will fit in my Ninja blender - the star being oranges and strawberries.
Ingredients for one serving:
- 2 C Orange Juice
- 2 Clementines
- 8 Strawberries
- 2 Bananas
For an added kick ass weapon, add a table spoon or two of chia seeds!
Blend and enjoy.
